Getting away in the springtime can really lift the spirits. The Isle of Wight is bursting with life at this time of year – as well as offering some shiny new ways to stay – so it’s a great place for an escape.
Ferry company Wightlink has the inside track on the top deals and what’s new this Spring:
New accommodation: Texas American School Bus
An American School Bus has joined a fleet of original American Airstream caravans at Retro Staycations on the Isle of Wight. “Texas” has been beautifully converted from its days on the highways of Houston, where it carried up to 71 children to and from school each day.
The bus is surprisingly spacious, with enough room for couples, families or groups of friends. The bus sleeps up to six, so as well as a king-size bed there are two comfy singles and a sofa bed. There’s a well-equipped kitchen, shower, indoor and outdoor dining tables, underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove.
Prices from £190 per night mid season / £220 high season. retrostaycations.co.uk
New retreat: Art and Yoga
New to the Isle of Wight is Erling and Elaine’s Art and Yoga Retreat, offering an incredible opportunity to find greater balance and joy. The retreat includes yoga classes, art workshops, and opportunity for relaxation and reflection. Art and yoga are powerful forms of transformative therapies that can help to improve mental and physical well-being. Through art, individuals can explore their inner world and find the courage to express themselves in meaningful and healing ways. Yoga is a physical practice that can increase strength and flexibility, reduce stress, improve concentration, and increase self-awareness. The dates are 24 – 26 March, 21 – 23 April, or 19 – 21 May 2023.
From £395 per person for 2 nights. https://erling.yoga
