Located right in the bustling Northern Quarter area of Manchester, the Hampton by Hilton is in a prime location for sampling the city’s buzzing bars, delicious restaurants and abundance of shops.

Visiting Manchester for the weekend, we were lucky enough to review the Hampton by Hilton and it didn’t disappoint.

Arriving on a Saturday afternoon, we were warmly greeted at reception and checked in with ease. Alongside reception, there’s a bar and lounge area which features chic blue chairs, comfy sofas and a fresh, modern decor.

Our room was located on the third floor, so we hopped into the lift to drop off our bags and check out the room. Spacious and spotlessly clean, the large room featured a big comfy bed and full-length window that overlooked the city.

The room was well equipped with plush grey chairs, plenty of mirrors and a huge TV mounted on the wall. And the decor was also stylish – featuring an indigo-hue wall and interesting artwork. Little extras like a plug socket and lamp by each side of the bed were a welcome convenience – we could both charge our phone!

Along with a homely room, the bathroom was also perfect with an all-white interior, powerful shower and huge mirror for getting ready in.

Heading out to explore the city, it was super easy to access everywhere we wanted to visit thanks to the hotel’s brilliant positioning.

And when we returned back to the hotel after a fun evening, we quickly fell asleep amongst the snuggly duvet and fluffy pillows – plus the blackout curtains meant we weren’t woken up as soon as morning broke.

Feeling well-rested from our sleep, we headed downstairs to sample the breakfast buffet which is included in every booking.

Our bellies rumbled at the plethora of options in front of us. Cereals, fruit, yoghurt, pastries and a fully-cooked brekkie were all on offer. Plus there were machines offering coffee and fruit juices.

But the highlight had to be the waffle machine – a treat for the kids (and let’s be honest, the adults!). Making fresh, hot waffles in minutes, there were also a yummy selection of toppings including hundreds and thousands.

Set up for the day, we headed back upstairs to pack. With a 12pm checkout, it meant we could take our time and enjoy a slow start to our Sunday.

With just one night booked, we didn’t have time to experience all the facilities the Hampton by Hilton has to offer. There’s also a gym, snack menu and bar to enjoy – what more could you want?

Checking out, we felt rested, well-fed and a little sad to be heading so soon. For a fantastic location, the comfiest of beds and a superb brekkie, this hotel is our top pick for your next Manchester trip.
