We recently enjoyed a stay in the amazing Penthouse Suite at nhow London, one of London’s best new hotels. The hotel is situated on City Road, on the fringe of buzzing Shoreditch. Its décor is arty and bold, its design is a celebration of exciting and cosmopolitan London. We were most impressed with the art; the hotel has a partnership with Jealous Gallery and offers guests access to London artists’ new work throughout the year. Also available in the lobby are Brompton bikes, available for guests to use if they wish. With such an extensive cycle network in East London this is a must.

The penthouse is a stunning space, on the 8th floor, with panoramic views of the city and beyond. We loved the quirky and individual décor and were particularly enthralled by the gorgeous marble bathroom with stand-alone bath. The bed was super comfortable and enormous, with crisp cotton sheets that ensured we had a perfect night’s sleep. We relaxed in the large living area, which and were enthralled by the royal graffiti art on the walls and the Dilmah tea, china tea pot, glass cut tumblers and designer furniture. Dogs are positively welcomed at nhow London and our room included a special dog bed and bowl.

We enjoyed a delicious dinner and perfect cocktails in the hotel restaurant which is fashioned on a British pub. Breakfast the next morning was extensive and plentiful, a huge continental type choice, with the possibility of adding cooked items, such as eggs benedict, if we felt extra hungry! We felt lucky to spend our first city break for a long time in such a stunning hotel.
